Flow Connections is a relaxing pipe-connecting puzzle game for iOS. Rotate the pipe tiles to carry water from the source to the sprinklers, and once everything connects, the sprinklers come to life. Boards range from a quick 3x3 to a brain-bending 10x10, and a tutorial walks you through the basics.

Daily and Nightly puzzles
There's a new Daily puzzle and a new Nightly puzzle every day, and both get bigger as the week goes on. The Nightly is always a step above the Daily, and it can throw in some tricky modifiers.

Challenge puzzles
Every challenge puzzle has a three-star rating to chase. The free version comes with 50 of them, and the full game adds 100 more.
Game modes
The full game unlocks four modes:
- Endless: No countdown and no move goals. Solve at your own pace while the game keeps count of how many puzzles you finish each session.
- Time Attack: Beat the clock as the puzzles get larger and harder.
- Blitz: Time Attack with a twist. The clock resets every time you finish a puzzle.
- Custom: Pick the seed, the puzzle size and the modifiers, and build the puzzle you want to play.
Modifiers
- Fog: Covers the board. It clears from pipes once they're fully connected and rolls back in when they're not. It's manageable on small boards and a real challenge on big ones.
- Low Flow: No sound and no connection visuals, so you're on your own to tell when the pipes line up.
- Random Source: Every time you rotate a tile, the water source jumps to a random spot on the board.
Music and sound
The soundtrack is theta wave meditation-style music, with its own track for every hour of the day as the game moves through a full day and night. Foggy boards get their own versions of the music, too.
Nature sounds fill in the rest: birds during daytime puzzles and crickets at night. Running water means a pipe is still disconnected, and the sprinklers let you know when everything is connected.
From game jam to full game
Flow Connections started as an entry for the GameDev.tv Game Jam 2026, built in the four days before submissions were due. While it didn't come close to winning, the response to that little jam game was more than I expected, and it convinced me to turn it into a full game.
